FAQ

So on my website, I have a page dedicated for questions I am often asked by people in comments or emails. This page hasnt been updated in.. a-LONG time, so I figured id leave a space here for people to ask questions about me, my art or the techniques I use when drawing or painting.

Below are the questions ive already been asked, if you have a question that isnt answered here, leave me a comment!

Your work looks ALOT like Sarah Moules work..
Yep, thats because I am Sarah Moule, well I used to be :P I got married a few months back and changed my name to my husbands, Jeremy Dixon. I have alot of work on the internet, and I chose not to change the artist info from Moule to Dixon because I was a Moule when I created that stuff. From now on, my work will be signed with Dixon.

What inspires you?
All kinds of things! I get heavily inspired by people, and imagination. I have a great imagination and I can picture how I want things to look almost instantly once I get an idea.. so talking to my friends, specially Kat, gives me the most inspiration.

Can I use some of your pictures on my website?
No. The internet is far to big of a place for me to give permission for people to use my images for anything. Artwork is far to easily able to be stolen, so I say this for my own protection.

Why do you only draw women?
Because i am one! :P
I have tried to draw men, but their bodies are just so dam annoying to get right, so I gave up and im stickin to my womens :) Curves are much more fun!

How long have you been doing art?
For quite some time now. For a more detailed answer, please read about me in the “About” section of my website.

Why are almost all your drawing in the “Buff”?
Im trying hard to correct this little trait. The real and honast reason I do this is because I suck at drawing cloth folds.

How did you learn to draw?
I began learning from my dad. He taught be the basics… then I got hooked and kinda taught myself. I got to libraries all the time and look to books there, and also the internet helps heaps. I use alot of stock art for reference, infact most of my digital work has been referenced from stock artists.

Will you draw me a picture?
Ehh.. depends on who you are :P

Do you do art trades?
Not really. I wont say a definate NO for now tho. If you would like to do an art trade with me, email me and ask.

What media do you use to draw?
When using pencils, i use good old Crayola pencils. They are fantastic! And as for paints, I use the cheapest i can get. Im not a “well off” person, so I use what i can get my hands on. I use Reeves watercolour paints and I use Chromacryl acrylic paints. Dont ever make the mistake in thinking that good equiptment = good work. Its the skills you use that makes you a good artist.

For my digital work, I use an old copy of Photoshop 7 and my ol faithfull wacom tablet I named Pinky :)

Can you teach me to draw?
Nope! haha! I used to have tutorials up on this site but I took them down cause they were frankly.. crap :P I think the best way to draw is to practice. Also, dont cheat by tracing! You wont learn anything that way..

Can i buy some of your art?
You can buy prints if you are interested.
Later on I will put up my watercolour paintings for sale, but for now if you are interested in buying a print, email me and ask.

Is there anything that you wont draw?

Yes, theres quite alot actually. lol. For moral reasons, i wont draw gory / blood / evil things. I wont draw anything rasist. There are things that I may not draw for other people, like Male characters and stuff… but its only cause im not happy with my skills in drawing that subject as yet, if you ask tho.. i might give it a shot. I also wont draw anything religious. No angels or devils, stuff like that.
